- Can I register in, say, week 30 of the competition and still be eligible to win?
Yes. Since a new vlog wins each week (based on those weekly votes), you’ll definitely be a contender. However, we encourage you to vlog as much as possible to give people something to read. - Are there minimum and maximum lengths of vlogs?
No. However, the more you vlog the more likely people will be to vote for you since they’ll have more to go on! - What if someone has been vlogging for years and someone else has been only vlogging for a month?
We encourage people to not compare their vlogs to anyone else’s. First of all, who knows what other people will like. Everyone has different tastes. Second of all, the more people you tell about your vlog, the more votes you’ll get. It’s all up to you. - Why does it have to be real, and how do you assure that every detail is real?
The Vlog4Reel competition is predicated on the idea that the lives people are vlogging about are true and based on themselves because we are fascinated by your lives. Why make something up when what you already have to offer is so rich with what life is all about? Of course, if you fib about a few things here and there to make it sound better it’s unlikely we will find out, but before any winners are announced the vlogs will have to go through a lawyer. If you are vlogging about someone else – whether a fictional character or a real person other than yourself, you will not be eligible to win the competition. - What if I want my vlog to stay private, even if I win the competition?
We respect your right to privacy and would hold confidential all names of persons who wish to be so. - What's a vlog?
For those of you who don’t already know, vlogs are also known as Video Blogs or Online Video Journals and contain your thoughts, your ideas, your life. A lot of people vlog about their everyday life, some about their travels or their passions. There’s really no limit to what you can vlog about. - How does the voting work? You can give one vote each to as many vlogs as you like ONCE a day (once voting starts). People can now start signing up, vlogging, etc. Vlog4Reel is giving contestants a month to establish or beef up their vlog. We recommend vlogging once a day to keep ‘em coming back for more!

To Be Announced – Vlog4Reel Announces Vlog Competition Winner(s).
VOTING ROUNDS:
ROUND 1 (Peer Voting): All registered members of Vlog4Reel.com can vote once a day FOR ONE VLOG ONLY. At the end of each week (SUNDAYs at 12:00 a.m. to SATURDAYs at 11:59 p.m.) the vlog with the most number of votes will be entered into ROUND 2. No vlog can win twice. If a vlog which has already won once wins again, the vlog with the next highest number of votes will be entered into ROUND 2 for that week. Again we still encourage you to vlog consistently and encourage your fans to vote for you because this will help you in Rounds 2 & 3.
PLEASE BE AWARE: Members will be restricted from voting more than once a day on the same vlog but you can vote for as many vlogs as you like each day.
ROUND 2 (Peer Voting): At the end of ROUND 1, there will be 39 Semifinalists. ROUND 2 is for you to help us decide who the winner should be. All registered members can only vote once and voting will last for four weeks, so make sure to get your vote in before the competition ends. Only 7 vlogs (the "Lucky 7") will make it to the 3rd and final ROUND.
ROUND 3 (Judges Panel): The 7 Finalists will be read by a panel of Judges comprised of 4 Industry Professionals (to be announced). The Judges will determine the top three vlogs to receive awards based on member votes as well as three other categories. Only one Vlog will receive the Grand Prize of $2,000! For more specific information, please read the Rules and Regulations located at the bottom of the page. -
If I dont have a vlog, how can I get one started?
If you don’t already have a vlog, this is what we recommend (because this is what we do!). Get an account with Blogger.com - it's super easy to set up. Then upload your video(s) to Youtube.com or Veoh.com (Veoh is nice because they don't have any quality/size limitations. Next embed the code (that your video host provides) into your new Blogger Blog. Then of course, register with Vlog4Reel.com and add the correct link to your vlog under My Vlogs after signing up. That's it! Email us at info@vlog4reel.com if you need further assistance. -
Are Vlog4Reel Vlogstars part of the competition?
No, they are not part of the competition. They can not be voted on; nor can they win the contest. The Vlog4Reel Vloggers are here solely for the enjoyment of the readers. If you're interested in becoming a Vlogstar & have some cool content, e-mail us at info@vlog4reel.com. -
Why is there no Voting Link on my blog for people to vote?
Please make sure that when you added your vlog site that you copied the HTML code (located in the box below your link) and pasted it to the "source code" for your vlog. This is what enables us to add a Voting Link to your vlog site. If you can not find out where to put this please contact your host site to find out where it is located. If you find you are still having trouble, please e-mail us at info@blog4reel.com. -
Are you committed to bringing the winning vlog, then script, into fruition as a film?
Yes, definitely! We wouldnt be doing this if we werent fully committed to bringing your amazing vlogs to life. -
How can I add the voting link to my blogger.com (vlog) blog?
Step 1: Go to your blogger.com DASHBOARD. Step 2: Click on Layout for the blog you wish to put the Voting Link on. Step 3: Click on Add a Page Element. Step 4: A pop-up will appear with many options; click on Add to Blog underneath the HTML/Javascript option. Step 5: Another pop-up appears; paste the code you copied from the Vlog4Reel "My Vlog(s)" tab into the Content section. You do not need a title here. Then click SAVE CHANGES. Step 6: Check your vlog site to make sure the link is visable. NOTE: The page elements can be moved around so the link will appear anywhere you want on your blog!

How do I sign up and link my vlog?
To sign up on vlog4reel.com, click on the SIGN UP HERE link on the top right-hand corner of the homepage. Once you sign up youll get an activation email. Once youre activated, go back to vlog4reel.com, sign in, and click on the MY VLOG(s) tab (located underneath the header). Click on ADD NEW VLOG and follow instructions. Make sure under the LINK heading you add the entire URL for your website (for example: http://vlog4reel.blogspot.com/). Your vlog should now be linked. But dont forget to copy and paste the voting code we give you in your vlog. Otherwise people can not vote.
14. Can I just enter one video/vlog into the competition or do I need more than one?
Your vlog can contain as many or as little videos as you like. We only need to be able to view all of your videos in one place (site/vlog) and have a place to put the voting button. However, we strongly encourage you to have as many vlogs as possible because the more content you have the better. It will help the voters and the judges make their determination.
